Business Updates and Important Info

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer.  It'll be gone before we know it so make sure you get out there to experience it!

Here are a few updates and bits of information for you:

1.  I now offer new pricing quotes for corporations or sole-proprietorships requiring multiple services.  With these new quotes, I can provide you with a flat fixed fee for services so that you know what the cost to your business will be at all times, rather than the usual per hour billing.  For example, if you book quarterly bookkeeping and corporate tax returns with me, I can quote you a per quarter bookkeeping flat fee as well as flat fee for your corporate taxes.  All quotes are available for either 1 OR 2 fiscal year terms.

2.  New availability times.  I've never really had office hours before so this is new for me.  My new office hours are 8:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and Friday's 8:30 am to 2:00 pm until November 30th. This is so that I can have more time to complete courses and additional continuing education seminars, so that I can constantly provide my clients with the most up to date and current information, as well as expanding my knowledge base in order to provide additional services.  My availability for December 1st through May 10th will be announced closer to December.

3.  Quickbooks Online.  Yep I'm pretty excited about this one!  Quickbooks has finally come up with a Canadian solution to running Quickbooks on a Mac, providing easy access for accountants to look at client's Quickbooks files AND mobile bookkeeping!  It's called Quickbooks Online and that is pretty much just self-explanatory.  No need to download software and you have access to it wherever, whenever you need it with none of those frequent and annoying updates.  PLUS you can register your accountant access for it.  There are different levels available (just like the desktop versions) and therefore different pricing levels.  The kicker though is that you can't merge your desktop version company file into the Quickbooks Online…yet.  I'm fairly certain that Intuit will be working on a solution to this.  In the meantime, there are ways around this drawback and you may find that this is a pretty great (and way more accessible) solution in comparison to the clunky and sizable software that is the desktop version.   If you want more information on this, either contact me or visit the Quickbooks Online website.

4.  Personal taxes.  If you haven't done your taxes for 2012 yet, I can still efile your 2012 personal taxes until November 30, 2013.  If you are behind a few extra years, I can still get them filed on paper.  I can go all the way back to 1997.  Discounts are available for multiple years!

5. Space is still available.  While I am pretty much booked solid for monthly bookkeeping clients, I still have some space available for smaller businesses needing quarterly, semi-annual or annual bookkeeping and personal or corporate taxes.

Let me know if you have any questions about any of these updates.  Happy Summer!!
